Gen and Lily from Belushi’s, Paris
In this month’s Who’s Who we sat down with Gen and Lily from Belushi’s, Paris. These two party girls seem like they love working at one of the biggest backpacker’s bars in Paris and with full reason. Big Screens, Live Music, DJ’s & the best parties keep them busy both on and off the clock, but luckily they were able to spare us some time from their hectic schedules and Jagerbombs to tell us about it.
So Guys tell the readers something about yourself...
- Funky Paris: What’s it like working in Belushi’s?
- Gen: Long hours but great fun!
- Lily: Yeah, we work hard, but play hard too!
- Gen: It’s difficult at times keeping the balance but we love our jobs and wouldn’t trade them for anything
- Funky Paris: What music would you play to get the bar rocking?
- Gen: We’ve got a huge selection of music in the bar, it really depends on what crowd’s in and how much of a party they want!
- Lily: And of course we have some great DJs on the team – DJ le Wig and Crood Oyl are my personal favourites!
- Gen: They sure know how to get everyone partying
- Funky Paris: What has been your favourite moment in Belushi’s?
- Lily: Mine, when we broke our JagerBomb train challenge. I think we got to 112 that night! So much fun!
- Gen: Yeah, check it out on YouTube
- Lily: Just type in http://tinyurl.com/jagertrain
- Funky Paris: What’s your tipple?
- Gen & Lily: JAGERBOMBS!
- Funky Paris: What do you do when you’re not working?
- Lily: All of us on the team love to travel as much as we can
- Gen: The hard part is finding the time for it but we love getting out when we can
- Funky Paris: Tell me about your job – what exactly does being a bartender entail?
- Gen: At Belushi’s, it’s so much more then pulling pints. It’s about making the party happen.
- Funky Paris: What do you like most about living in Paris?
- Gen: The food, the history, the culture, and great coffee
- Lily: After a few years in London it’s nice to be home.
- Funky Paris: Apart from Belushi’s, what are your favourite bars/restaurants in Paris?
- Gen: My favourite restaurant is just round the corner from us, the Bastringue. Serves great food and has a chilled out atmosphere. Café oz is always good for a laugh too.
- Lily: The Glazart has some great DJ nights
- Funky Paris: What are your long term ambitions and plans?
- Lily: Watching the Super Bowl and all the 6 nations right here is about as long term as it gets!
- Gen: And get some more travelling in there as well
- Funky Paris: Say something about each other:
- Gen: Lily is soooo awesome
- Lily: Yeah so is Gen haha!
